Review of Le Corbeau (1943) by Morgan T — 16 Jun 2007
A very old movie. But knowing it was shot during the occupation of France by the germans, it's got a lot of symbols hidden in it, that German censure did not get. Looking back on it, we see how wonderfully Clouzot analyses the human mind with his detective stories which may seem irrelevent but tell so much more on our condition than anything else.
Simply one of the best of all time.
