Review of Le Cercle Rouge (1970) by Brett W — 21 Aug 2008
The extent of how cool alain delon is cannot be exaggerated. like le samourai, this film is a crime drama/action film with french sophistication. only Melville could interweave homoeroticism, 60s france, crime, and buddhism into a perfect aesthetic for the medium of film.
if you have taste -- which is NOT subjective -- this film will satisfy you. if it does not, it does not mean you and I have different taste, it means you Don't Have Taste.
