Review of Le Cercle Rouge (1970) by Leon H — 08 Sep 2009
An influential film to the crime thriller. Much like Melville's masterpiece Le Samourai, this is a very classy and slick crime thriller. Particularly memorable is the 20 minute heist scene with no dialogue.
Its very noticeable and effective, which racks up more tension in the already delicate and carefully planned scene. This movie is slow and methodical, much like the characters committing the crimes.
