Review of Le Cercle Rouge (1970) by Brock R — 11 Nov 2012
Perhaps THE French heist film. It is cooler than cool and sets the mark high on what makes a good heist thriller: from the the expert planning, the suspenseful heist itself, the flawed characters, and the tense getaway.
Excellent, but not as good as Melville's true masterpiece Le Samurai.
