A lot of the negative reviews seem to miss the fact that this was still aimed at the audience of rooster teeth. I myself thought it was a very entertaining movie, I went to see it with a friend of mine who doesn't really watch rooster teeth and both he and I were in tears.

Yes it is a bit generic but if you didn't get that from the trailer, then I don't really trust your review to begin with. I went into this movie expecting it to be disappointing I wont lie, Rooster teeth do have brilliant writing for most shows and although I am a fan I don't always follow their humor, however I was pleasantly surprised to leave that movie having enjoyed it and laughed a lot. You see this film is supposed to be fun and funny, it's not supposed to be the next inception with a mind boggling plot, it's supposed to be a fun scifi.

I've seen reviews on sites that complain about the bad special effects, but I mean what did you expect? This movie was crowd funded and had a very low budget ESPECIALLY for a scifi, of course the special effects are going to not be Hollywood level, I'm not going to rate them lower based on that alone as that's a pathetic reason to be upset.

Overall I understand it may not be some people's taste but that's the same for every movie every created, a lot of audience reviews seem to be saying that because they didn't like it the only people who did were mindless fans, which is ridiculous, as I previously said my friend who isn't a fan of rooster teeth but has similar humor to me had a blast, it may not be the most clever movie but it was certainly worth the money to me.

9/10 would definitely watch again.
