Lay the Favorite is a story based on the memoir written by Beth Raymer which tracks her rise from a Las Vegas cocktail waitress and Florida stripper to one of the best sports gamblers in the nation. It's not really a comedy, but it's very upbeat and fast paced and it never gets bogged down with drama.
