Review of Lawless (2012) by Jorge D — 28 Jan 2013
Along with their impeccable technical production "Lawless" airs heroic gives his three protagonists, brothers drinks producers, which in broad prohibition, dared to challenge police corruption, and refused to contribute with the bribe demanded by government authorities.
For the film, as a work of entertainment, the level of adventure that much closer this story based on fact, of the more traditional westerns, the director John Hillcoat option of giving air to its mythic protagonists, only helps to raise the level of enjoyment of the viewer.
If missing here fidelity to facts, and perhaps a certain distance, this is offset by much good dose of adrenaline, of great action sequences (including one of the most memorable beatings in recent cinema, starring Shia LaBeouf and Guy Pearce) who make this production a legitimate and intense program.
8.5/10.0.
