An oddly paced, shambling film anchored by really eccentric performances from Tom Hardy and Guy Pearce. This is flawed, but it's also the only John Hillcoat film I've really enjoyed since "Ghosts .
.. of the Civil Dead". Shia LaBeouf is even pretty good here, though I'm not sure I ever bought him as Hardy's brother.
