Review of Lawless (2012) by Chris F — 19 Jul 2014
This film does a great job of capturing what is considered to be a "dark age" of sorts in American culture. Set in the 1920's and 30's during the time of the prohibition we see the underbelly of the world of bootlegging through the eyes of the Bondurant brothers.
Now while this film is subtle in the way of story telling the idea that it's based on a true story makes it nonetheless riveting. This I'm sure is accompanied by the amazing cast featuring some of the best acting talent the world currently has to offer.
Furthermore, the level of detail from props, to accents and wardrobe really comes together well and to me is a piece of art.
