(2012) Lawless.
HISTORICAL CRIME DRAMA.
Supposed to be based on fact centering on the Bondurant brothers right before the "Prohibition era" of the 1930's where bootlegging was a common practice. The movie stars Tom Hardy as the oldest named Forrest, the second oldest is Howard and he is played by Jason Clarke and the person narrating is the youngest of the brothers and he is Jack Bondurant played by Shia LaBeouf. A movie that is adapted by the screenplay written by Nick Cave from the novel written by Matt Bondurant. All's is well until mayor of small town recruited arrogant cop from Chicago Charlie Rakes(Guy Pearce) and of course they're going to cross paths. The film sympathizes with the Bondurant brothers since they're not ruthless killers but are just supplying moonshine liquor to some of it's customers living near them and amongst the area except that the mayor assumed to get more by recruiting a cop from Chicago. Very routine stuff but it still has a good ending.
2.5 out of 4 stars.
