Recommended viewing.
Antonioni's modernist masterpiece is doubtless one of the greatest films ever made, but although thought provoking and intellectually satisfying, personally, not an enjoyable film to watch really. Unless you're trying to impress arty new friends or raising a young film critic, it's not really one to own since it's not one you'll be likely to pulll out and view multiole times. It's close--but not quite, "worth owning", so I'm rating it four stars, or "recommended viewing.".
