Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Mark P — 11 Aug 2009
Existential crap wrapped in a beautiful black and white bow. One of those movies people seem afraid to say anything bad about, blinded by its perceived greatness and fascination with metaphors, even though its supporters admit it has no actual story, the "plot" is suddenly dropped for no reason, has no actual point other than to "exist," and makes little to no sense at all.
Well, if no one else will then I'll say it: this emperor has no clothes.
