Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Dave L — 22 Nov 2011
Widely heralded as Michelangelo Antonioni's masterpiece, "L'Avventura" is a slow moving film that is more philosophical than mystery. The film centers around rich people sailing through the Mediterrean Sea.
Upon landing on an island, one of the ladies disappears and is never seen again. The metaphor is about the Italian rich class and their ever fleeting lives. Eventually, they will disappear too and never be heard from again.
