Review of Last Train Home (2009) by Steve A — 25 Jan 2011
Wow, fascinating look at the social impact the modern Chinese economy has on migrant workers. The documentary team sure lucked out with the family they followed over the course of a few years, as their (unfortunately heartbreaking) story makes for great drama.
And beautifully shot, from cramped living dorms to chaotic crowds and jam-packed trains carrying people back to their villages for the New Year.
