Review of Last Night (1998) by Brian D — 10 Sep 2007
Original take on the whole end of the world concept; no special effects, just randomly different people in Toronto trying to make sure they do exactly want they want before the world ends. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes just plain weird, this movie is unmistakebly Canadian, but thats what's so good about it.
Kudos to Don McKellar for taking on many of the important jobs for this movie: actor, writer, director. He excelled in all three, especially towards the end, which is heartbreaking and life affirming all at once.
A must see!
