Review of Last Night (1998) by Brian C — 19 Jul 2011
One of the most underrated little gems of the 90's, Last Night is a deeply haunting, yet oddly hilarious look at humanity facing its ultimate demise at the hands of an unknown apocalypse. It's high-concept in the extreme, but the characters are all interesting, and the storyline gives a sense of urgency to every line spoken.
It's a little sloppy in places, but overall, one of the most unexpectedly thought-provoking films I've seen in a long time.
