I have mixed feelings about this director. I loved Ploy but hated Invisible waves. Thisone is like the latter. Ratanaruang is like Takeshi Kitano, or Wes Anderson, in deleberately seeking the no man's land between comedy and drama that just doenst work for me.
Movies that are funnier on paper than in reality.
