Review of Last Knights (2015) by John P — 11 Feb 2017
I've never made a review on RT so I will make this brief. I bought this out of a 5$ bin so I can't really complain there. The acting was okay most of the characters played their roles really well.
I felt as though the Mott guy was a little forced but you could tell he was a corrupt official none the less. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the content was good enough to make me see how it ends, but not great enough to make me remember it.
The story was vague and all over the place not all that in depth so there are alot of unanswered questions (like what was the purpose of the battle in the beginning). I know this is entirely fiction but it gave off a Roman Empire feel to it which was alright in my book.
All in all it was pretty cheesy and a little disappointing considering its all star trio (Morgan freeman, Clive Owen, and that guy from fear the walking dead). The only thing I liked the most about it was the twist half way through did not see that coming.
However the two things I felt were distasteful (for lack of a better word) were the inaccurate depiction of knighthood, which for all my history buffs knights were one step below nobles they were not your ordinary foot soldiers and the title wasn't awarded easily, and the unnecessary leave it up to the viewer ending.
Did he fight back or did he get killed why would you ruin a barely okay movie by ticking off the viewers like that? It just doesn't seem feasible. Three stars is modest 2.5 is two low, I'm more like a 2.
9 at heart.
