Review of Last Chance Harvey (2008) by Ahmed S — 04 Oct 2009

A Rom-com for grown-ups? Nah, it's much more than that. It tells the story of two lonely, down on their luck, adults who have one last chance to redeem themselves. It's smart, funny, thought-provoking, and heartfelt.

Of course, the picture couldn't manage to escape all the genre cliches (the guy losing the girl near the end was forced big time), but those are minor quibbles. Last Chance Harvery is part Once, part Before Sunrise/Sunset, all brilliant.
