Review of Lars and the Real Girl (2007) by Jonny B — 04 Jul 2011
'Lars and the Real Girl' takes a premise that seems impossible to work with and creates a near flawless tale of loneliness and fragility. Ryan Gosling is, as always, mind-blowingly genius and takes the role and brings the movie alive, absolutely tremendous.
The script is sweet, maudlin, funny, and dead-on about, what seems to me at least, agoraphobia. The rest of the cast is amazing. The photography beautiful. A must see.
