Review of Lars and the Real Girl (2007) by Tom S — 25 Jul 2014
Very funny and sweet in its best moments, and Gosling, who can seemingly play almost anyone, wallflower or stud, is a marvel. But it's not long before it settles into pat and cheap routines - the community's Norman Rockwell acceptance is downright unbelievable.
By the end, it all feels too easy.
