Review of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (2003) by Kai82 — 18 Jun 2020
It is an O.K. movie and good adaptation. It captures the essence of the games. However it is not good enough to be a masterpiece or even get a sequel. For me it is weaker than the prequel. Its hard to explain but I try my best.
Basically they did the same as in the first movie. It does not connect with me or lets say it creates not the emotions and impact. If feels like moving on a “To do” list at times. For itself it is a chase around the world were again the ultimate price awaits at the end.
The acting is good. Angelina Jolie and Gerard Butler deliver their respected roles. The antagonist are menacing. The sets are good and the soundtrack is fitting. I think I said already everything here.
Overall a watchable movie but not remember-able enough. Most people and even fans have forgotten that it exist.
