Review of Land of the Dead (2005) by Taylor S — 08 Feb 2011
I put off seeing this for a long time, due to the reviews that Romero was slipping, and frankly Day of the Dead had not been my 'cupán tae'. But this movie proves what Romero and zombie movies can be with more studio support.
Sure, the zombie 'leader' was and annoying idead, with him guiding his zombie flock to salvation, but overall this movie, with its positive-in-places mood, was more my kind of film than the utter bleakness of Day of the Dead.
Plus, who doesn't like Zombie Jesus?
