Review of Land of the Dead (2005) by Sue B — 12 Oct 2010
This was the most ambitious film in the Dead series, and for whatever reason it tanked at the Box-Office. But I have to tell you that this is one of the best films that Romero has done, simply because it is so well thought out and executed. Romero usually has some sort of social or political undertone to his films, but Romero flips the tables on fans and makes the Zombies the good-guys and the Humans the not-so-good guys.
Eugene Clark plays his character so well, and the late Dennis Hopper steals every scene he's in.
