Review of Land of the Dead (2005) by Dr. N — 27 Aug 2011

I like the themes, FX and the actors but really its just another zombie movie in a whole gorey pit of other zombie movies. It doesn't really stand out other than having better budget than most and directed by Romero.

I'm not sayings its bad, it just isn't anything to go overboard about. Some scenes I really enjoyed were the club with zombie cage fighting and photo ops with restrained zombies, even though those moments were fleeting it really was in the same social commentary 'vein' as Romero's previous zombie flicks.
