For some reason a lot of people dump on this movie, but I absolutely loved it. Infact the more times I watch it the more things I find to love about it. Romero once again proves why he's the king of the zombie film.
If you want mindless zombie entertainment then go watch the silly Dawn of the Dead remake. But if your like me and actually enjoy a message behind your horror, then Land of the Dead is the movie for you.
Not only does it have atmosphere and great performances from the entire cast (especially Dennis Hopper & John Leguizamo), but it's got more zombie gut-munching than you can shake a severed leg at.
Thought provoking, gruesome and terrifying, Land of the Dead is a very welcome addition to Romero's classic "Dead" series.
