Review of Land of the Dead (2005) by Seag G — 24 Feb 2012
Nothing as special as Night of the Living Dead, but still a good Romero, with some gore, zombie kill jokes, and some truly scary scenes. Also a nice zombie fighting truck. Lead character doesn't quite fill me with awe, but the 2 main baddies (or 3 if you include the Zombie nemesis) make it work.
I like the touch,where by, about halfway through the film you also on the side of the Zombie nemesis. (There is also enough social commentary on class and race issues, that don't drown out the film, to keep it in line with other Romeros.
).
