Review of Land of the Dead (2005) by Rod E — 25 Jul 2013
This is a truly uninspired piece of work from formerly respected writer/director George A. Romero. This feels so tired and bland, none of the characters feel real, the intelligent zombie idea was risky and maybe it was something that needed to be tried, but it flopped.
I just burst out laughing every time the "head" zombie gurgled and barked instructions to his fellow dead buddies. You don't care what happens to any of the main characters and the zombies are not the least bit frightening or menacing.
If you absolutely love anything to do with zombies and are desperate for your next fix, check it out, but you've been warned. Maybe you should just wait for season four of The Walking Dead.
