I almost feel bad about giving it a 6 out of 10, but i'm afraid I can't give it a "good"-7 rating. There's a sincerity about the film, and I think the themes are important, but everything seems a bit skimmed over.

It's not often that i'll wish there was more exposition, but i'd have liked to know more about these characters, more of their history, more of an emotional connection to their stories. The supporting characters were thinly drawn.

In the absence of a deeper drama, the sparseness of the humour stood out. Worth a watch, I guess, but these characters deserved a stronger film.
