Review of Land and Freedom (1995) by Mark L — 13 Nov 2007
One of my favorite movies - though hugely depressing. Portrays the failure of fractured idealism in the face of united agression. Ian Hart is excellent and helps tell the story of the many people who's tales were lost as the destruction (and victory) of the second world war outshine the bitter, smaller defeat to facism in Spain just years earlier.
