Ken Loachs film of a Liverpudlian communist going to fight in the Spanish Civil war against Francos facists. It tells of the many who came from aroud the world to fight for a cause and how it broke down into infighting within the different groups and how this was one of the main reasons the facists won.
A good film , well acted and as always with Ken Loach thoughtprovoking.
