Review of Lamb (2015) by Aïko G — 28 Aug 2016
Lamb is an amazing movie telling a story that is very touching but with a sinister edge. We see a recently divorced 47 year old man who has also just lost his father and a little 11 year old girl that lives an unhappy live void of parental attention and love.
These two individuals meet in a parking lot, under what looks like innocent circumstances, they get to know each other better over time. Eventually the old man takes the girl on a camping trip that changes both their lives.
The relationship between the two main characters is the one feature that deserves most credit here. On one hand it is absolutely creepy and feels very wrong, but on the other we also see there is love and tenderness between them.
Although the entire movie kept me interested, it was only the ending that will probably linger on, I can say it is one of the few movies that gave me a melancholy feeling at that moment. Lamb is a greatly written movie and is acted out very well.
