Samuel L.Jackson stars as Abel Turner, a racist cop who terrorises an interracial couple in Chris and Lisa Mattson (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington). It introduces Jackson in a different role than he usually portrays.
That's what I love about him. He's a very diverse actor capable of films such as these. Over the course of Lakeview Terrace, it shows Abel battling his own personal demons and why he's the way he is here.
Even revealing to Chris why he dislikes him. Just basic stereotypes for you. Lakeview Terrace is a riveting thriller filled with spiteful intentions.
