This movie is the TV show "Twin Peaks" redone in a haunting/documentary style. The Palmers, (in Twin Peaks her name is Laura Palmer) discover their seemingly squeaky-clean daughter has drowned in a lake.
Sound familiar? David Lynch did it better.
