Lake Mungo is the story of a family coping with the loss of their daughter/sister Alice, drowned in a swmming accident. While the acting is good, the story really doesn't lead anywhere. Some questions are answered, some more are raised, and I am left with one big question...why bother?
This movie just didn't work in my opinion. There is so much lack of focus as to what Alice was really like, and what happened to her, just I am almost left not caring. The introduction of the video tape that Alice kept hidden seemed like it would have led to something, but in reality it was nothing of value to the story at all.
Lake Mungo failed.
