Review of Ladyhawke (1985) by Katrine N — 21 Jul 2008
For sentimental reasons, I refuse to give this film less than 4 stars, even if it does go on a bit too long and slant a bit to the cheesy side. I've loved this film since I was 12 and still hugely enjoy revisiting my favourite knight in shining armour (Hauer), dorky pretty-boy Broderick, and insanely beautiful heroine Pfeiffer. I used to draw tons of 'night-without-a-day-and-day-without-a-knight'-drawings as a teenager, and to this day I am in awe of the breathtaking scenery and beautiful horse/hawk/wolf-shots.
Oh, and I don't hate the score.
