Review of Lady Vengeance (2005) by Shannon M — 22 Nov 2009
I love you Kind Geum-ja! That aside, we all know Oldboy and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Park Chan-wook ends his vengeance triolgy with Lady Vengeance, which essentially pretty much combines the technical aspects of the two previous films.
While I understand why Chan-wook did it, I think a lot of his audience saw it as just excessive at times as many people I know like the first two installments much more. Still, there is a lot to appreciate and while grotesque, just as his other films, this one is executed with such grace that it can't be left unseen.
