Review of Lady Jane (1986) by Mut2Mut . — 29 Mar 2008
The romantic part is not necessarily historically inaccurate when you look at their last days and feelings towards each other. During that time of arranged marriages, it was rare to care so much for your spouse.
The movie may have romanticized their love, but it does appear (from the sparse written records) that they did love or at least like each other. Great movie. Sometimes a little slow, but I enjoyed the subtle character development.
She and he became my favorite actors after this movie. Patrick Stewart also did a great job.
