Review of Lady in White (1988) by Chris S — 16 Aug 2005
Ah another movie from my childhood. I've been waiting for this to come out on dvd, but there seems to be some problems. I found this movie when looking around the have to go VHS movies at the video store, I found it, only 1 dollar, isn't that the best deal in the world!
Anyway, it seems my mind was very selective of what to keep from the first viewing of this movie. It chose to delete all the boring scenes out. So that leaves about 45 to 50 minutes of good movie. I'm just pulling that number out of thin air, but you get the point. There's a lot to be desired for half of the movie.
I like the over all story line dealing with the past murder of a young girl that is witnessed by a young boy who sees her ghost reliving the murder. The young boy makes friends with this young ghost and tries to help her find her mom. This leads to him finding out some very interesting facts.
My little description may seem abit light hearted, but I assure you this movie is far from that, and shouldn't be taking lightly. Now I'm not saying this is really violent, just that you shouldn't expect a kids film. I think this film is a good watch, and might get better in more viewings, seeing as it would go faster.
