Paul Giamatti is amazing in this movie, but that shouldn't come as a shock to anyone. Everyone else kinda flat and the plot failed to draw me in. I hate to be so hard on Shyamalan but I was expecting something better.
The antagonist of this movie is not really the evil forces but a little asian mom who won't tell Cleveland the entire bedtime story. If he just knew the story from the beginning it would have been a short movie.
She was so mean to him for no reason. I missed the whole point of the film, was he trying to say something beyond the straight meaning?
