Lady In The Water is a ten-minute fairy-tale bedtime story stretched into one hour and thirty minutes. It's been a long time since I reviewed a M.Night Shyamalan movie and now I'm back with his most boring piece ever.

The story has already been explained in the first five-ten minutes of the movie so why do we care about the rest of the film? Anyway the story is about a apartment superintendent named Cleveland played by Paul Giamatti who finds a magical sea-nymph named Story played by Bryce Dallas Howard who has been transported to this world and is now living in the swimming pool.

As he shelters her in his apartment, other inhabitants of the building begin falling into place as they start to represent the characters from the Eastern myths. So it's basically a story in a story in a story- are you confused yet.

You know when I first watched this movie, I only watched like one hour of it because it was so ungodly bland but I can say this though. The one thing that no one can take away from M.Night is drama which is the problem in this movie, he has the drama but he is lacking the story because of his wasted ideas.

And the twist is that there's no twist at all and it's just a story. So yeah, don't watch this movie because it's boring as hell and even the title tells you how bland the movie is but if you want to see it because the poster looks attractive, then go ahead.

Lady In The Water gets a 1.8/10.
