Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Dan L — 02 Dec 2017
A fantastic movie about a mother and daughter relationship. Excellent production, really brings a suburban family to life with its many quirks and contours. This is the teenage coming-of-age story of a high school senior making some big changes and taking lots of risks in her otherwise sheltered suburban life in the early 2000s.
The music is from that era and they pay special attention to that time period in the sets and dialogue. The central characters are the mother and daughter, both are adapting to the daughter's deepening self-awareness.
A really touching movie. Definitely want to see this again.
