Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Irina K — 30 Jan 2018
The ups and downs of coming of age, of a rural area middle class teenager in early 2000's. Whimsical, funny and sad, emotional and explicit. Brilliant directing, compact and not a single scene longer than needed or unnecessary.
It all makes sense, and draws you in. Satirical atmosphere created through exaggerated acting and brainy comical lines. A definite treat for women- both mothers and daughters!
