You can count on your hands the themes you can talk about in a coming-of-age movie. That's why it's so important the way you explore those themes, and how strong the characters you describe are. In "Lady Bird" there are no fault to be seen. It's a very funny and thoughtful story, with peculiar and strong performances.
Our origins make us what we are, and we should never apologies for them. Loved it.
