When the writer/director credit came on I immediately became highly suspect and after sitting through 30 minutes or so asked myself what the hell am I doing here (the reviews were very good not that that means a damn thing anymore)? Ultimately it got me though with its in all likelihood autobiographical coming of age story that touches because it connects even if you're not the chick flick type.
