Review of Lady Bird (2017) by Burnerboy — 23 Dec 2017
It's a coming of age scrapbook, that somehow after flipping through it, adds up to wonderfully fleshed out and impactful experience. The last scene wraps up this movie in such a bleak and perfect manner, summarizing the film with the protagonist's sudden realization that the adulthood she has so desperately craved is officially upon her, and it's not as liberating as she had imagined.
It recalls The 400 Blows, and it's famous and also perfect ending.
