Truly masterful direction of Gerwig! She assembled two of the best leading actresses of today, best move ever. I've had benefit of seeing Laurie Metcalf in many plays here in Chgo (Steppenwolf) so can attest to her overwhelming talent but I think she outshines herself here again. This mother daughter relationship feels so genuine,.
I most enjoy a coming of age film done justice as is & no better than on display in this masterful, visceral depiction. Great work GALS!!
