Watched on flight to Spain 6/26; great coming of age film based in Sacramento, CA, a bit of a love/hate letter to the city, tells the story of a (dysfunctional) American family whose daughter is about to graduate from high school and must figure out her next step in life, whether in accordance with the expectations of her community & family (esp.
mother), or on her own terms.
