Review of Lady and the Tramp (1955) by Jon C — 06 Feb 2016
The movie is pretty much a tribute to all dogs.
Anyone whom has had a pet in despair will look at this film's intention to change that.
At its core it's a cute love story but in the background it's about a cocker spaniel learning to deal with the change in her home life.
Lady is brought into the world as a young pup and is living a great life with her masters but complications ensue when they are expecting a new baby thereby splitting the attention given.
Lady isn't alone though as she has her next door neighbor dogs and happens to come across a stray teaching her to open her eyes to a world beyond the fences.
The animation is slicker here, the characters are really well-spun, the songs are so adorable, and you do get a few tears.
Even if one or two moments are meant to intentionally tug at your heartstrings those with weak constitutions should be prepared.
This is a movie for dog lovers no doubt.
Disney has done it again!
