I am going to start this review by saying that lately Trailers are Fucking Liers. Yep. I recently saw Labor Day. Because of the trailer I kind of did not want to see it . I thought I was going to go see some hardcore gag me with a spoon love story . what I got was a intelligent movie about a woman, trying to Pick up the pieces of her life a a stranger just comes in her life . at first he seems like the person from the wrong side of the tracks but he is not. "Labor Day" centers on 13-year-old Henry Wheeler, who struggles to be the man of his house and care for his reclusive mother Adele while confronting all the pangs of adolescence. On a back-to-school shopping trip, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers. there Labor Day will never be the same.

Labor day is told in a narrative for. usually I find this to either be really good or really bad. I find this to be really good in this film. Toby McGuire's voice is one of the perfect to tell this story . I know we all like our Patrick Stewart, Morgan Freeman, and even Oprah voiceovers. I was happy with Toby. The best thing about the voice over is that we do not usually see the Person in the movie this time we do to wrap everything up. I think that was one of the good things.

The look of this movie is just amazing. we have all seen 80's throw bad movies before. with them they mix things that were used in the 80's all at once. They all go for the over the top 80's look with the clothes. This movie really makes it look like a normal 1987. nothing over the top. nothing too much . my favorite was a scene in the bank and a toaster oven was sitting on the counter right by where you get the deposit slips at. This to me is a great thing. I know I am being picky I could not help this one. The console tv. The ET posters. The DC comics on the right kind of racks, and the prices in the store. it was to me awesome.

I will have to Say this is one of Jason Reitman best work . Jason has helped to make a few great movies in the last few years such as Juno, Thank you for smoking and young adult. But this movie has to be his best camera work to me to date . he did a lot of run off work as I call it . A lot of focus on other things as the story is being told. as the story unfolds you see why this is important. this is a beautiful piece of direction. its not going to win any awards but it is just a solid, job by Reitman.

I have looked online and see what some people have said about this movie. to me this movie is this. its a good Movie about life and some one that has a story. its not a bad movie at all. this movie was put out to get lost in the shuffle. its not going to be a award winner , but it is a gem. if you are grown , want to see something with out swearing, there is only one probably objectional seen and it does not have to do with sex. this is your movie. I really enjoyed this movie . one thing I would have changed is that they have a underscore in the movie like Jaws. come on you are trying to scare us! it is not that serious. I really wanted a I am james Van der Beek bitch moment. But there was not, shit! Also Kate Winslet, dat girl be looking good. yes sir! oh well I am going to give this movie a Solid B+. see this one I really enjoyed it. I did not think I would but I did enjoy it. this is why I say the trailer is a fuckin Lie! see this one if you want to go to the movies just to go out and do something. you will be entertained. I will say this is a definiteally going to be one of my net flicks picks when it is there!
